Judged Competition
Our annual judged competition provides students with an opportunity to present their year-long entrepreneur projects to their peers, the public, experts and a team of national judges. Criteria for judging is based on their critical thinking and decision-making skills developed through Transformative Action Research following a Sustainability Framework.
Their project must address seven wellbeing indexes: 1) Financial, 2) Employment, 3) Education, 4) Health, 5) Ecosystem, 6) Public Safety, and 7) Sense of Community. They must be supported using three forms of whole-systems modeling: Influence Modeling of the current system, System Dynamics Models to determine long-term outcomes and reduce unintended consequences, and Graph Theory Analytics to show how they intend to systemically build their business.
